Pause a few seconds
Me: "mommmyiwantcandy!"
Mom: "Eat some dinner first."
Pause a few seconds, push food around on plate
Me: " I. WANT. CANDY."
Mom: "EAT. SOME. DINNER"
Me: "Hmmpf"
Pause a few more seconds
Me: "Mommy, my finger hurts"
Mom: "How did you hurt it?"
Me: "Candy will make it feel better."
Mom: "Grrrr"
We are off on our mom/daughter adventure tomorrow. Dad claims he will miss us, but mom thinks he's just saying that!
