What a great week we've had! All kinds of good news coming from all kinds of directions. Where to start??!!
Dad got good news from his work. When he left Tucson, he left behind his "9/80" work weeks meaning nine hour days with every other Friday off. We all loved those off Fridays. Denver had other ideas. They work nine hour days every day including the supposed off Friday. It kind of stunk for Dad and he (and we) sure didn't like it but now he is getting them back. Dad thinks it will take Denver awhile to catch on but he's ready!
I think we finally have a fully functioning microwave. This is our third go round, since our first one was used and missing parts and the second one had a faulty micro chip and burned out fan motor. So far, this one seems to be all good and we are very happy to have it back. Mom was struggling to cook dinner because she never plans ahead and always has to thaw stuff out in the microwave. We ate a lot of sandwiches the last few weeks.
Now, on to me! I had soccer practice on Tuesday and dad was able to leave work early to come and watch me. I love that! I had Girl Scouts on Thursday. Dad did not leave work early for that one but mom and I had a good time.
Saturday was my very first soccer game since my less than stellar season last year. I've been talking trash all week about how good I was going to play and I actually almost lived up to my hype. I wasn't afraid to get in there and mix it up a bit. I knocked a few of the smaller girls down- not on purpose- and they cried and I didn't. I scored a goal and had an assist. I did keep going back to play defense (although mom and dad aren't sure where I got that idea) so I missed out on some of the playing but at least it wasn't because I picking daisies!

Talking strategy with my teammate Maggie. She's a go getter too.
Not that anyone was keeping score but we won 10-1.
Sunday was a quiet day. Mom and I tried yet another church looking for just the right fit. This one reminded mom of those Mega churches but was kind of a snooze fest. Sigh.
We hit the grocery store and the donut shop and headed home for a day of laundry, baking and dog washing. We did manage to wrap things up in time to play a good game of Corn Hole. It was a perfect day for it- nice and warm.
Next week is supposedly my spring break but I'm in day camp all week so it isn't much of a break for me. Hope everyone has a fabulous week!
