Jordan's World: Catching up

Mom sure seems to be losing her enthusiasm for helping me with the blog but we will soldier on! She was very grumpy last week (she's allowed one or two days a year) and just didn't feel like writing anything. We are all better this week though.

To catch up on last week- we spent most of Saturday getting ourselves ready for Easter. We made the cake for our traditional Bunny cake. I'm getting to be a real expert egg cracker and love, love, love to separate the egg with my bare hands. It just feels so cool. And kind of gross.

After that project, we moved to decorating our Easter eggs. I'm getting better each year and only dropped one this year! Yea me!!

After a busy morning of projects, we hopped on our bikes and headed over to the park for my soccer game. I had another stellar game with 3 goals and we won again but as usual, no one was keeping track. The score was 10-1.

I could hardly wait for soccer to be over with so I could start getting ready for bed- you know, because the Easter Bunny was coming! I had Dad up every hour Saturday night/Sunday morning asking if the Easter Bunny had come yet. I was more excited about the dang Bunny than I was about Santa Claus! We FINALLY all got up at 6 and I raced down stairs to find that he did actually come! He left me a big Easter basket and he was hid eggs both inside AND outside. That is a pretty awesome bunny to be outside at 11 PM at night hiding eggs in the pitch dark.

Despite mom's best attempts to ruin it, we ended up having a nice day with sunny warm weather and good food.

This week was much better but pretty busy for us. I had soccer practice on Tuesday and Girl Scouts on Thursday. Dad has entered a weekly time trial on Wednesday evenings at a state park close to our house so he didn't get home until late. We were very happy to see Friday roll around.
Saturday was a work day for mom so she missed my soccer game. I scored the first goal but we ended up losing 4-3. We put up a good fight though!
Today, it is rainy, windy and cold ( but no snow!!), it's 4 o'clock in the afternoon and I'm still in my PJ's watching movies. It is a good day to stay inside and not feel guilty about it.
We got some nice pictures of spring in over the past week- it is kind of fun to see what the former owner's planted and what is coming up. We are expecting to see some blue tulips eventually but so far, only purple. They are pretty though.
