It was a fun holiday weekend. Dad left Friday morning to go camping and get our Christmas tree. He was a little worried about the cold but he is tough. Mom and I had a playdate/reunion with the Birthcenter babies and moms. All the babies were so big and the moms so small compared to the last time we were all together. I was fascinated by Kariman's cats and liked taking toys away from baby Vivian. Baby Rowan slept through most it. It made for fun day but it interrupted my nap time, setting the stage for a long, frustrating afternoon for mom. I was pretty crabby the rest of the day. Mom was supposed to go to her office Christmas party with me but she put me to bed at 6:30 and called it a night for us. Whew.
I woke up in a much better mood on Saturday. Mom and I headed out for some Christmas shopping and I had a great time. It just gets so boring at home, I love to out and about. Saturday night, Grandma Sue and Grandpa Vern came over to babysit and mom went out for her annual Girls Holiday Dinner. It was so deliciously decandent. Mom had a pastry wrapped salmon with a Grand Marnier souffle for desert. Mom had trouble sleeping after that huge, fattening meal- so worth it though.
Sunday morning, mom and I went to church. We went to the children's mass and boy was it loud. There were babies everywhere and kids running up and down the aisle. Mom thinks it is good to contain them all in one service!
In the afternoon, mom and I went to our neighbors for a holiday fiesta. Dad came home with our tree while we were there so we came home and helped get it up. Oooooh, it smells so good- makes mom want to go camping again. We strung up the lights and will decorate tomorrow night. Dad has some good pictures of his camping in the snow that we will post when he gets them on the computer.
