What an exhausting, fun weekend for me! Nana D, Mr. Walker and Uncle Adam came in on Saturday and I was immediately swept up by Nana D. She gave me a bath, she fed me, she played with me, she got me to bed- mom was at a loss for things to do. She managed, however.
On Sunday, we had a nice, lazy day. Mom and Nana were supposed to make cookies but mom forgot to buy the ingredients needed, so we got to do nothing. Nana and I played A LOT- she wore me out! We went to Christmas Eve mass at 3 in the afternoon and it was such a beutiful day that we walked to church. Someone was watching over us because we got the last 5 seats in the church. Everyone else had to stand. We got back from mass and Mr. Walker and Uncle Adam got busy lighting all the luminarias that we put out. It was kind of windy, so it was great fun watching them struggle to light all those stupid candles. Way to perservere guys- mom appreciates it. It sure looked nice and we had people driving through all night to look at the lights.
Finally, Christmas Day came! I had some fun pulling at and eating wrapping paper. I also enjoyed all my presents but only made it through half of them before I needed a nap. Mom and dad finished the duties for me. I got some cool stuff including my own kid MP3 player that plays nursery rhymes, a taggie ball, a set of buckets, U of A PJ's from dad, and a lot of fun clothes.
We got to talk to Uncle Tim and Aunt Dana and the cousins on our new video phone. We got one for Nana and Mr. but Mr. is a bit disappointed that he has to get dressed to answer the phone now. We would appreciate that!
We went for a walk and picnic in Sabino Canyon in the afternoon. Such a gorgeous day and I really liked playing in the sand. I crashed out on the walk back and was pretty much a crab the rest of the day. It is tough being "on" all day and I had pretty much had it by then. I was in bed by 6:30.
Probably the most exciting present all weekend though had to be mom's new Roomba vacuum from dad. This thing rocks! Mom really detests vacuuming so this thing is a godsend. Mom and dad turned it loose before we went on our walk and when we came home, all the pine needles and dog hair were gone and Roomba was back in it's little home awaitng its next assignment. So cool!
Well, I had a great first Christmas and I hope everyone else did too!
( We are again having trouble uploading photos, so we will post more when we can)
