Dallas is COLD and we are woosies! We flew out this weekend to visit Uncle Tim, Aunt Dana and cousins Brooke and Faith. I did really well on the plane again. We took Grandma Sue with us and she hasn't flown for over 25 years. I explained things to her, showed her the flight safety card (over and over and over) then showed her the skymall catalog (over and over and over). I think I was a good teacher because she seemed pretty relaxed. I got a huge kick looking out the window when we were landing- things look pretty cool from up high. We finally got to the house about 7 and I was in bed about and hour later. Mom and dad thought everything was going smoothly until I woke them up at 2 in the morning with a coughing fit and just general fussiness. It was the start of a fun day to come. Friday, it was just to darn cold to even look out the window. The lake behind the house had frozen over night and it was windy. I didn't feel good AGAIN and so wasn't to interested in all the new toys- I tried but my heart just wasn't in it. I wasn't into napping either. Cousin Faith was a little fussy too, so it was a fun day for all! Friday night, I woke mom and dad up again and wouldn't go back to sleep. Dad ended up sleeping on the floor next to my crib. That made me feel a whole lot better and I was able to get some sleep. Come to find out the next morning, that Uncle Tim was asleep on the floor of Brooke's room because she wasn't sleeping well either! We could have had a party!
The next day was a little warmer but very windy so again not much outdoor fun. We did manage to corral everyone for a trip to Dave and Buster's. That is a big arcade/restuarant. The dad's won us some cool toys as souvenirs. I felt better on Saturday, so I gave Brooke a run for her money on the toys. She is learning the whole "sharing" thing and I could really care less! I finished the weekend by waking mom and dad again but I think I really pushed them to the edge. I think I heard them say "We love you Jordan, but really, this has got to stop!" So I did.
We left on Sunday morning and I conked out the minute the plane took off and slept for an hour and a half. Whew!
All in all it was a much more fun weekend than it sounds. It was so good to see the family again and Uncle Tim is a fabulous cook. Even though the adults out numbered us 5 to 3, I think we showed them that 3 babies under 2 is a lot of work! Thanks for the good times!
