IT'S...MY...BIRTHDAY!!!! TODAY!!!!

Who knew?! And what a fun day it was! Nana D, Mr. Walker and Uncle Adam came in last night for the weekend. I got everyone up at 5:30 this morning. At that time last year, I was a mere 2 hours old and mom and dad were much less rested.
In the morning, we all drove up to Mt. Lemmon for a short hike which I loved. We stopped in at the fire look out and got to talk to the ranger that lives there. It sounds like a bit of a lonely life but the views were pretty amazing. After that, we drove to the small village at the top of the mountain and walked around some more and then got some pie. I got a bite of blackeberry pie, strawberry rhubarb pie and sour cream apple pie. Let me tell you- pie is where it is at! I think that is where it is at but I haven't really eaten any other deserts. Bananas don't count.
We came home and spent the afternoon in the pool where Mr. Walker taught me all kinds crazy things to do with a pool noodle. I think my favorite was smacking it on the water. Hours of entertainment!
I guess my party is tomorrow so Grandma Sue and Grandpa Vern can come. I did get one present today though. It was bag of rocks which I LOVE. They are pretty colors and you can throw them, carry them, share them, drop them- all kinds of stuff. I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds if today was this good.
I didn't take much of a nap today so I was in bed early and missed Uncle Adam's birthday celebration. His birthday is the 28th but I didn't mind sharing my day with him.
Well, this has been a big year for me. I started at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and now am almost 20 pounds. We aren't sure on the height(my doctors appointment isn't until Thursday). I started with no teeth and now I have 4. I started out a flailing, stationary little girl and now I'm tottering all over the place. I have had a pretty busy year. Can't wait to see what the next year brings!
