Pukey weekend, literally

Well, my weekend was really not a whole lot of fun. I had a great day on my actual birthday but I woke up Saturday, my party day, with a stomach virus. I threw up 3 times before 8 in the morning and then another 4 times before the day was done . I was supposed to go bowling with the whole family but I ended up staying home with Nana D while everyone else got to have fun. Uncle Adam and Mr. Walker held their own against Grandpa Vern but mom pretty much stunk up the bowling alley. She blames it on worrying about me.

No matter how sick I was, the party must go on. Dad made and decorated my cake and Grandpa Vern and Grandma Sue came over along with our neighbors. I didn't see much of the party. The Grandma's, mom and dad kind of tag teamed me in the back of the house. I did come out for a bit but fell asleep before I could even blow out my candle. I did rally a bit to open a present but that took all my energy and back to bed I went. But wait, the night isn't over yet! Because I wasn't eating, drinking or peeing and I had a 102.4 fever, mom and dad decided a trip to the ER was in order. They now realize they jumped the gun a bit on that because by the time we got to the hospital, I was a little more lively. We got our $75 motrin and pedialyte and came home. Thankfully, the trip was less than an hour.

I still felt pukey on Sunday but managed to rally again in the afternoon for a swing ride on my new swing that dad got me for my birthday. Then came Monday morning and guess what? Still pukey but at least I get a bit more perky everyday. I don't want to eat anything, which is very unsettling for mom and dad as I am an eating machine under normal circumstances. I don't even want my bananas. It is looking like mom gets one more day off. It sounds like a good thing, but I guess she is getting bored sitting at home. Oh, the sacrifice! Here's hoping I have a better day.

Oh Miss!
That is a sad little picture of you by your pretty cake! We hope you feel better soon.
BTW- we have that same red swing...it's the best toy EVER!
