Now, back to our regularly sceduled program. We had a pretty good weekend. On Friday, mom and I went to the zoo in the morning. Once again it was hot and horribly humid- we're talking 85% humidity. That is crazy hot in Tucson. And once again, our trip was saved by the "Kenya get wet" exhibit. The zoo knew what they were doing when they put that in! I had a good time, in fact it was so good that I decided to lie down in the middle of the walk way, in front of the rhinos, for awhile before continuing on. After my rest, I was ready to continue.
On Saturday, we had big plans to hit the children's museum but Mother Nature had other plans. We had the bazillionth appearance of Lake Goedel because of the 3 inches of rain we had at our house. It poured for 3 hours straight. It was a really long, boring day. Our grocery trip was truly the highlight of the day. We were so happy to get out, that even buying milk was exciting.
Sunday was a better weather day. Mom and I went for a run in the morning. It was really pretty because there was actual water in the river that we run by. That doesn't happen very often out here, so mom yammered on and on to me about how nice it was. She obviously wasn't running very fast! When we got back, dad and I had our day together. He took me to the Childrens' Museum where I got to play the drums and do a little more shopping. After that, we went to Grandma Sue's house for the afternoon. Fun day and mostly fun weekend.,
