Happy Fall!

Happy Fall!! There is some debate in our house about whether fall happens on the 22nd or the 21st but either way, it's here. Mom celebrated by putting away the summer dish towels and pulling out the fall ones. She's a wild one, mom is.
We had a very nice, relaxing and not boring kind of weekend here.

I got to stay home with Dad on Friday and I always love that! My friend Madeline came over with her dad to play for awhile. The dads got their bike tires all squared away and Madeline and I played with all of my stuff, my computer and then convinced the dads to let us go swimming. I was pretty much exhausted by the end of the day.

On Saturday, mom and I went for a long walk and then just futzed around the house. Mom went to a yoga class in the afternoon that her friend was teaching. She's a little sore today, so she figures she needed it! Dad and I stayed home and swam some more and watched a movie. I fell asleep during it which was a great thing because we had a party to go to that night. We went to my babysitters parents house. They were celebrating a big milestone birthday. I was so very excited to actually see Jesse's house and then my friend Elizabeth from school was there too! Good times were had by all.

On Sunday, dad got up at O'dark thirty for a bike race (he did well by the way!) so mom and I were on our own for a few hours. We hit the park early and stayed for a loooong time. We took my bike, so I rode some too. I spent a lot of time on the swings but mom was finally able to talk me off and talked me into playing some soccer with her. She is trying desperately to widen my horizons! After we wore ourselves out at the park, we hit the plant store to pick out veggies for our garden. We got broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, spinach, carrots, and my special request, brussel sprouts. I don't really know what brussel sprouts are but I'm reading about them in one of my books, so I'm sure they are deeeeelicious!
When dad got home, we all went swimming. Slight confession here though. We are actually swimming in the hot tub with the heat because the big pool is to cold (86 degrees- brrr!)
I am in bed early again and getting ready for our cool, fall like weather. 100 degrees on Tuesday. Have a great week!
