I love Wednesdays. They are my favorite day of the week because it is pancake day at school. Ms. Becky, our cook at school, makes pancakes every Wednesday and I loooooove her pancakes. Every morning when I wake up, I ask mom what day it is. When she tells me it's Wednesday, I bolt out of bed yelling "It's PANCAKE WEDNESDAY!!!" When we went to IHOP for dinner last week and I got chocolate chip pancakes, I told mom that Ms. Becky's were better. I have been a little grump the last 2 Wednesdays because I missed breakfast at school because mom went in to work late. Mom tried to make it up to me today by making pancakes at home. She even made blueberry with a few chocolate chips sprinkled on them. It wasn't the same. Mom asked me whose pancakes I liked better. I told her I liked Ms. Becky's better. I felt a little bad but I had to tell the truth!
Also in other big news- I can read! Kind of. Not War and Peace...or Dick and Jane or anything but I now recognized that O-F-F spells off and O-N spells on- at least in the context of the light switch it's written on. We are trying to transfer that knowledge to reading on paper now. Very exciting stuff!
A Jordanism: "Mom, when I grow up, I'll be a woman but I'll always be your little kid!"
See you Sunday!
