Mom's Civic Duty!

This blog is all about mom. I haven't done much out of the ordinary lately so not much to report there. Mom on the other hand got called for jury duty. She has been called 3 times in the last 5 years (her 89 year old grandma has never been called!) and this time, she finally got seated on a jury. And boy is it fun.

She can't talk about the case because it hasn't closed yet. She can say it has been a bit tedious and she is pretty sure the 2 prosecuting attorney's are doing this for the first time in their lawyer lives. She is trying to be patient with the 60 second pauses after each and every question and the multiple repetition of questions but it makes for a long day. Things should wrap by tomorrow. The nice thing about jury duty is she hasn't had to report until 10:30 AM so we have had some leisurely mornings. We will fill you in on the exciting details later.

We are gearing up to head up to Flagstaff this weekend for the final bike race of the season. Flagstaff is in northern Arizona and should be nice and cool, OK cold for us up there but it should put us in a nice fall mood.
