Ooo- La-La!

We've had a good week so far. I think I stayed on my green card at school all week! Yea Me!
Mom took today off work as a reward for sitting through her continuing education class all weekend and she decided to let me stay home too. We had a great mother/daughter day. First we slept in until 5:25 AM. That was really pushing it for me- the days a' wastin'!! After seeing dad off to work, we made chocolate chip pancakes and watched Madagascar.
Then we headed to Target for a little bit. Because we really had nothing else to do, we just wandered up and down the toy aisle looking at everything. My new favorite expression is "ooo la la!" and all the cool cars and even the occasional Barbie got an "Oooo La La Mom! Look at this!" Mom was secretly pleased that I was quoting my Fancy Nancy book and not the Cars movie.

After Target, we had big plans to go to the Splash Park for the rest of the morning. We both had our suits on and were raring to go. We pulled up, unloaded our 10 ton bag, walked to the splash pad, only to find it locked up tight!:( Mom called the parks department and it turns out it doesn't open until this Saturday.
Oh well, we managed to have a good time at the playground anyway. There were a whole bunch of kids from the nearby elementary school there but I held my own against them. The girls were interested in my purple leopard print purse and the boys were interested in the cars I was carrying in it.

After a snack, we came home and had some lunch and watch the Princess and the Frog. (Mom sure did let me watch a lot of TV today- I think she was tired.)
We then got to work on our projects. Mom and I made paper plate flowers and I think they turned out spectacularly. (Aunt Erin, if you want me to do the flowers for the wedding, just let me know- I'll give you a good price!) Dad helped me put them in one of mom's expensive, irreplaceable vases when he got home. I won't be surprised to find them elsewhere in the morning. All in all, a great day!
