Another Good Weekend

This week went kind of fast for us ( well mom anyway since she only worked 4 days) and it was relatively OK in the grand scheme of things.
I had a make-up soccer game on Wednesday for the game that was rained out a few weeks ago.  I know it is hard to believe a game was rained out here in Arizona but we had a few weeks of kind of wacky weather.  The best part about the make-up game was that I also got to bring snacks.  This is kind of a big deal and not something you want to screw up unless you want your entire team thinking you're weird.  Mom decided not to bring the whole-wheat, tofu bars and we opted for oranges, chocolate milk and bananas.  It went over very well and the best part of the whole game was getting to pass out snack.  We lost by the way.
I had another regularly scheduled game on Saturday and I got to bring snack AGAIN! Oh, the fun of it all.  I'm still not so good at soccer though.  I am good at putting my arms inside my jersey and running around, picking weeds, throwing grass in the air to see how high it goes, making shadow things on the ground, playing with my ponytails and waving at the crowd.  That is enough to keep me busy throughout the entire game.  We are supposed to play 5 on 5 but when I'm in, the Pink Ladybugs are pretty much down a man.  My new nickname is going to be Oblivious Girl.  But, boy am I having fun!  I was very upset today when mom said I only had two more games.
After soccer, we came home and spent the rest of the morning outside because it was soooo nice.  I dragged out my golf set I got for my birthday to play for a bit, but don't show much natural talent there either.
That afternoon, mom and dad took my to my old friend Madeline's house to spend the evening with her and a kid sitter while the adults enjoyed an evening on their own.  They were all invited to a lobster dinner at a friend of a friends house.  Gretchen and Bill (the friends of the friends) just bought a 70 acre ranch property just east of Tucson in the Rincon Valley.  They are fixing up the main ranch house and building 7 new casitas throughout the property and turning it into a "minor resort".
Bill gave everyone a tour of the property at sunset on the ranch ATVs.  Dad had a great time tooling around and got his motorcycle fix out of the way.

They were lucky enough to have an amazing sunset to ride back to and an amazing dinner waiting once they got there.

The lobsters were part of a fund raiser for a local children's charity and they were cooked to perfection along with some amazing potato salad and coleslaw.

It was a really fun night with some fun people.  Meanwhile, back at Madeline's house, we practically had the babysitter tied up to her chair.  Apparently, the moms and dads could hear us squeeling from the driveway when we were supposed to be sleeping.  The babysitter didn't look to frazzled, so maybe we weren't that bad....
Here we are "sleeping" in our matching PJs.

Sunday was a much quieter day as mom wasn't feeling fantastic.  Hmmmm....I wonder if it had anything to do with the night before.  Oh well.  She did manage to get me to the park in the morning
