It seems like we had a busy week but it was probably just because everyone was sick. I started feeling better on Tuesday, just in time for Dad to get sick and then he started feeling better on Saturday, just in time for mom to get sick. The family that gets sick together, stays together. Only because they are too pathetic for anyone else to deal with!
Back to our week. I made dinner for the family on Tuesday- with a little help from mom. Nana D got me a kid cookbook and I decided I wanted to make spaghetti sauce. Since mom was feeling energetic, we tackled it. I cut up at least 40 cherry tomatoes and mom still has all her fingers. I drizzled olive oil, sprinkled salt and pepper, roasted, pureed and mixed and things turned out pretty tasty. Mom decided it was waaay to much work for a cup of sauce but I had fun. It got me out of setting the table, so it had to be good.
On Friday, mom headed out for girl's night and dad and I had a dinner date at the grilled cheese place. We all hit the sack early to get ready for our athletic Saturday.
Dad was up at O'dark thirty and heading out to El Tour de Tucson while mom and I slept in. I had my final soccer game of the year and had another kind of good game. I got in there and kicked the ball a few times. I think I had an assist in there as well.
After the game, we had our end of season party. We had to run home to pick up our desert for the party and I insisted on changing out of my uniform and into something "pretty for the party". I looked pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.
I got a really cool trophy and a nice note from coach Bill. He thought I made some good progress this season, especially toward the end.
On Sunday, we all slept in and it was great. We spent the day doing laundry and packing for out trip to Disneyland!! Woo-hoo! I don't really know what Disneyland is but mom and dad are pretty excited about it, so I guess I am too. Have a great Thanksgiving and I'll see you in a week with news from D-land!
