Another Beautiful Weekend!

Man- everyday should be a weekend!  I had another fun filled, exhausting one and am not quite ready to go back to school.
Dad had another stage race this weekend.  The Tucson Bike Classic (TBC) was this weekend with the time trial on Friday, the road race on Saturday and the crit on Sunday.  He did awesome in the time trial, coming in 13th and he did awesome in the road race coming in close to that as well.  The crit on Sunday was another story however.  He got dropped but the good news is so did a whole bunch of other people including some of his best cycling buddies.  At least he had friends to ride around with.  And at least he didn't get lapped- that has to count for something right?!
While dad was out racing, mom and I had a good bonding weekend.  On Friday, she picked me up from school and we headed to the library.  It was definitely the quiet place it was when mom was a kid.  There were loud kids and loud people all over but it was still fun and I got a load of new books to keep me busy.  After the library, we went to Eegee's which is another of my new favorite restaurants.  Mom and dad love it too because they have really good french fries and it's cheap.  We got home, got the low down on the race from dad and then mom and I walked up to the gelato place for a scoop of the cold stuff.  Sooo good on a warm spring night.
Saturday was my second tennis lesson and I had another good day.  Mom broke down and bought me a racquet.  The sales lady was showing me all the pink, sparkly racquets but I wasn't to thrilled until mom asked for something "not pink".  I got very excited about my new blue and red racquet though and when we got home, mom and I practiced hitting balls against the garage.  I'm getting pretty good and even getting the grunt down.
Sunday was pretty much sugar from sun up until sun down.  Mom and I went to church in the morning and she bought me a donut after from the Knights of Columbus.  She figured it was for a good cause.  I played in the tree house at church for awhile and then we headed out for my friend Luke's birthday party.  He is my class at school so all of my favorite people were there and we had a blast!  Luke had a dinosaur birthday with a dinosaur jumping castle, a dinosaur pinata, a dinosaur cake, dinosaur tatoos, dinosaur egg hunt and then our take home gift was a huge dinosaur egg with more candy inside!  I played and played and played and we all ran from one end of the park to the other over and over, ate huge amounts of junk food and played some more.

Can you say "exhausted"?  It made for a long evening for mom and dad with many tears but it was sooo worth it!
Have a fabulous week!
