Laying Low

Another week gone by and not much to report.  School continues to be very fun for me.  Last week I even got a "Caught with Character" ticket from my kinder teacher.  I got it for "self control".  Mom asked me what that means.  I don't know but I think it had something to do with cleaning up.  Mom and dad are very proud of me and mom finds it to be a very effective tool in getting me to do things.  "That doesn't seem like a very caught with character attitude/choice/action you're doing there."  It usually whips me right into shape.
On Friday, my school had a Doughnuts with Dad morning.  Everyone got to bring their dads to school for doughnuts.  Dad took time off work and I was sooooo very excited and talked about it all week.  I absolutely couldn't wait to leave for school and was up at the crack of dawn, anxiously awaiting our morning.  We got to school and I took one bite of my doughnut, spent 2 minutes with dad and then left him hanging while I ran off to play.  So poor dad spent the rest of the morning getting his ear talked off by another dad.  At least I had fun.
Saturday, we had nothing on the agenda so we headed down to an outlet mall to get me some fall/winter clothes.  We found some pretty decent deals on a pair of snow pants and some gloves for me.  Mom is still clinging to the hope that it won't get below 40 degrees this winter, so she didn't buy anything.  I did get to take some of my allowance money to spend and that was quite the ordeal.  I wandered through the toy store and the candy store but nothing really grabbed my attention until we hit Claire's Boutique.  For those of you who don't know, Claire's is an accessory store full of head bands, earrings, pony tail stuff etc.  Kind of the last place mom expected me to like.  As soon as we walked in there, I made a bee line for the lip gloss.  I was absolutely enthralled with the pink, pop up case with 8 different lip glosses, a little brush and its own mirror.  Loved. It.  Bought. It.  And spent the rest of the day popping open my case, applying lip gloss and asking mom how I looked.  I looked stunning by the way.
Sunday was another lazy day.  Mom and I finally made it to church.  I had to sit with her through the whole thing because there was no "toy store" for me but we made it.  It sure wasn't as cool as St. Pius but it will have to do.  We got home from that and I let dad watch some football (finally) and then I talked him into taking me to a movie.  We got to see Lion King in 3D and it was pretty awesome.
We came home and spent the rest of the afternoon hanging around the back yard, playing with my neighbor.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
