So, what is it about the pink shirts, pink shoes, ruffles etc that make people think I'm a boy??!! I realized my hair is still a bit sparse but come on! My delicate demeanor should be clue number one. I had two people in Home Depot call me a boy. Mom is teaching me to say "I'M A GIRL!" but it is sounding more like "I'M A DOEHL!" Oh well, I'm starting to get some more curls so maybe we can get some barrettes or something. Although then, people will probably just think I'm boy with bows.
It was another gloriously boring weekend. We spent most of Saturday running errands and getting our "have to's" done. It was such a beautiful day. Mom actually had a half-hour to herself and sat outside enjoying our backyard. Saturday night, dad had his annual "Boys Poker Party" up in the mountains. He spent the night at a cabin with a bunch of friends and managed to win $10. He's feeling like a high roller now. Meanwhile, down at the home front, we had some of the Poker wives over for a girls night dinner. We had a very fun time but the girls disappointed themselves as they didn't even make through one bottle of wine! I managed to make it until about 7:30 but then I had mom up at 11:45, 12:30 and 5:30 screaming for my "dis". I'm thinking that things days are numbered.
Dad came home Sunday morning and mom and I headed to the bookstore for awhile to let him recover. It was a nice rainy, cold day so dad hauled my jumping castle out and we had some rainy-day fun in the afternoon jumping and spinning with crazy abandon!
