Saturday was a little better but they were both exhausted. It was such a beautiful day though that we spent most of it outside doing yard work. Dad finished the drip system and mom got the garden fertilized and I helped out where ever I was needed- which turns out was most places. Mom and dad have me running all kinds of errands for them now. Throwing things out, picking stuff up from the floor that they are to lazy to bend over and get themselves, putting their shoes away, putting the clothes in the dryer, emptying the dishwasher. I think it is time to start negotiating an allowance. Dad also got the pool cover on which can only mean one thing- it is almost swimming weather!! Saturday night, they mustered enough energy to help me color Easter eggs. What a hoot that was! The eggs went in white and came out a whole different color! Cracked me up every time! (No pun intended on that one.) I got to help put the eggs in and take them out but I need to work on my "gentle skills".
We got up bright and early Sunday morning and I found my Easter basket. WOW! Loved it! I got bath tub crayons (which after using just once, mom hid away. To much clean up afterward, I guess), bendy straws to drink my milk with, animal crackers and marshmallow Peeps. I didn't get much time to enjoy it as we headed off to church. I was soooo good. I got a little rambunctious toward the end but we didn't have to leave. Mom was so proud. After church, we drove over to the Desert Museum and spent the morning there looking at all the beautiful desert wildflowers in bloom and some animals. In the afternoon, Papa Vern and Grandma Sue came over for Easter dinner and we got to eat out on our patio. We had a chocolate cake for desert as you can maybe tell from the picture. I had a great weekend and I hope you all did too!
