Faaaabulous Weekend

We have had some amazing weather around here. I want to be outside alllll the time. Inside is for looooosers! Dad had Friday off work and spent the day running errands but it is always more fun to do that with dad. He even let me take Animal with me. Mom NEVER lets me take Animal anywhere and I think he gets bored at home. Anyway, because dad let me take Animal, I gave him a break on the whole "getting in the cart" issue and we had a very pleasant day. Friday night, the weather was so nice that we got to use our new grill and patio table and eat outside. It was a little hard for me to focus on broccoli with the great outdoors beckoning like that!
Dad left Saturday morning for a bike race in Yuma, mom and I got busy planting the garden. We have tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onions, cantaloupe, beans and strawberries. We planted alot because mom isn't a very good gardener and she figures more plants = more chances at produce. Anyway, here is a little know fact. Black Gold potting soil contains peanut stuff. How is that for random. Mom and I had to make a special trip back the nursery to get different soil. Who knew? I wasn't as into the gardening itself as I was dumping all the dirt OUT of the garden and putting the rocks back in. I was a big help.
Saturday night, mom's friend Shari came over for dinner. I loved, loved,loved her! She made me giggle and she even wanted to see my room and all my toys. How great is that?!
Sunday morning I went to my friend Chris' house. He is in my class at daycare. I hit the door running and he and I tore it up for almost 2 hours. I came home and had a GREAT nap after that which made mom really happy.
Dad got home from his bike race in the afternoon and he finished 6th. Not bad but I'm still waiting for the big money!
