HEY! What about me?!

Me, watching my 29th hour in a row of Dora, so mom and dad could get things done.

"The hour of living dangerously."  Mom and dad gave me a paintbrush INSIDE the house and let me paint.  Scary.

So I didn't get a whole lot of attention this weekend.  Kind of stinks to be me.  It all started Thursday afternoon when mom and dad's new bedroom furniture arrived.  Mom was so excited to get rid of the old stuff (with the bottom falling out and the drawers not closing anymore) that she and dad got to switching things out right away.  Well, one thing led to another.  The new dresser is smaller than the old so there wasn't enough room for everything, so then mom decides to reorganize the closet AND at the same time, they decide to paint the family room.  Don't ask me about the train of thought.  Anyway, that involved multiple trips to hardware stores and Target for stuff and it is now 8 o'clock on Sunday night and mom and dad are tired.

I did get a little "It's all about me" time this weekend.  On Saturday, mom and I did a Zoo Critters morning.  We went to the zoo and got a special tour of the animal families with some zoo guides, then we colored some pictures and best of all, got to pet a guinea pig, a skink (with a bright blue tongue), a turtle and a big red chicken (just like in Dora!).  I loved it all and wasn't afraid of any of the animals.  The chicken made some of the kids cry but I went back for more when she came around again.

In the afternoon, mom and dad got brave and gave me a little square of wall to paint.  Mom was about 2 inches from me the whole time and was really just kind of a nag about the whole thing.  "To much paint Jordan."  "Let me help!" "Don't step in it. "Don't step in it!!"  "Aaaggghhh, DON'T STEP IN IT!"  I was parked in front of my Dora video for the next couple of hours which really, was much more fun.

On Sunday, mom and I didn't want to be in the house anymore so we headed down to the river which now has some water in it.  I had a great time playing in the sand and playing with the 2 dogs that were there also.  That was supposed to make me tired so I would take a nap but I didn't really feel like it so mom and I went out to do yard work while dad started round 2 of the painting.  After yard work, I got more Dora so mom could work some more on the closet stuff.

So, while it wasn't a ton of fun for me this weekend, mom and dad had a productive weekend and are looking forward to more!  See you Wednesday!
