Overall, we had a pretty good weekend. Mom was sick on Friday but made a big pot of chicken noodle soup for us. I wasn't so interested in it but mom sure liked it. We were all in bed by 8:15 and were better people for it!
On Saturday, mom and I headed up to the fancy mall to watch a fun play put on by the cool toy store. It was pretty fun and I always have a great time playing with everything in the store. Unfortunately, there were about a bazillion other kids there and we all had to practice our sharing skills. Not always a pretty picture.
On a sad note though, our favorite dog store to visit up there is going out of business. The poor little sales clerk looked like she was about to cry. You know the economy is bad when it hits even the fancy mall. :(
In the afternoon, dad got really adventurous and took me to see the movie Madagascar. We went to a real theater and snuck in movie snacks and everything. I did great- got a little restless toward the end but all in all a good time.
On Sunday, mom managed to get in a run at Sabino Canyon while dad and I hung out and played broom ball in the living room. When mom got home, she and I went to play in the river. I got soaked and all was good!
We came home and I was supposed to take a nap but instead spent my time emptying all my drawers into the middle of my room and piling up all my chairs on top of that. It was a very productive time for me.
We went out to dinner at a restuarant that has a jumping castle (pretty high class) and mom was wondering if there will come a time that she and dad will feel comfortable just letting me jump without them hovering. Dad pointed out that since I was the only kid diving head first out the entrance that they would be hovering for awhile.
