We did end up having a snow day of sorts. Tucson ended up getting about an inch of snow that acutally stuck to the ground and was there when we woke up the next morning. That was all that was needed to send the city into a tail spin. The city closed every single bridge in the city because of fears of ice. Since we never, ever get snow here, apparently the powers that be didn't realize that the bridges probably should have been de-iced starting sooner than 7 AM!
Mom and dad ventured out at 5:45 AM only to be stopped at the bridge 1/2 mile from their house, so they turned around to try another direction only to be stopped at the bridge on the other side of their house. At that point they gave up and came home. Dad went back to bed and mom and I played for awhile. We finally headed back out at about 8:30, along with every other person in Tucson. Only took us a half-hour to get to daycare. It is back to usual today with the snow all melted. We will be talking about this for a long while!
