Mom and dad and T-I-R-E-D so far this week and I think a lot has to do with me. Where do I begin? Let's start with trying to corral me to get my diaper changes. I think it is a huge amount of fun to roll all over the floor, try to sit up etc, anything to prolong the actual changing of the diaper. Mom really enjoys it when I have a really dirty butt because then she has to keep my butt off the carpet, try to get me clean and hold me down. Then, once we accomplish that, it is time to fight going into the car seat. We sat in the garage for 10 minutes yesterday morning battling it out over the car seat. Mom is really strong and she felt really grown up fighting with a 2 year old. Once I gave up and got in, we had a long talk. Something about choices and sometimes I won't have one. Blah, blah, blah. I was busy taking off my shoes and socks. I don't fight the car seat all the time, just enough to make mom and dad a little batty.
What else? I don't like going in the grocery cart anymore. It took both mom AND dad to wrestle me into the cart in the Costco parking lot the other night. I screamed and writhed and then finally managed to stand up, seat belt on and all. I got to get out at that point because I was being a bit embarrassing. That was exactly what I wanted and then I got to lead the little Goedel parade around Costco. Good times!
Finally last night. You all remember how dad turned my doorknob around so I could be locked in my room, right? Well, last night about 11, I wanted to come out. I tried to be polite about it and knocked on my door. When no one came, I figured no one heard, so I started kicking my door and yelling for daddy. Sooo, dad got up and came and slept on my floor. I guess he snuck out later because I woke up at 2 and he was gone, so I repeated the whole process again. Mom came in the first time but she isn't as nice as dad and didn't stay, so I gave them 15 minutes and knocked again. Dad came in again and slept on my floor again. I LOVE my dad! Mom can take a hike.
So that is our tired little week. I love testing my boundaries!
