Scottsdale

My action pose at Enchanted Island.  I won Boots in a ping pong tossing game!
Taking control of the helicopter.
These are the bumper boats that had mom in a panic.  She just doesn't trust me.  She kept thinking I was going to jump out and she would have to jump in and save me.
Enjoying the "Today Show" with my cup o' joe.  Really it was just a cup of shredded wheat.
Giving "Green" his first bath.
Putting the heart into "Green"

We had an interesting weekend.  Dad had his first race of the season up in Phoenix so he drove up Friday morning for his first race.  Mom picked me up from daycare after lunch to drive up and meet him up there.  We got off to a rough start because when mom came to get me, I was fast asleep even though mom specifically told Ms. Wanda not to let me nap.  So Friday, I got a 5 minute nap for the whole day.  So instead of mom getting a peaceful ride up with me pleasantly sleeping in the back, this is what is sounded like:  "Mom, why are we going to Phoenix?  Mom, why is this Tucson?  Mom, why is dad in Phoenix?  Mom, why is dad riding his bike?  Mom, why is the sun warm?  Mom, why does the sun come up?  Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom.  Whywhywhywhy?"  Thanks Ms. Wanda.
So, we get to the hotel, a very nice Marriott Suites, in Scottsdale and get settled in.  We decide to head out to the Fashion Square Mall because dad has a surprise planned for me.  We are getting onto the elevator when a police woman gets on as well.  She is dressed in her black fatigues, has her belt loaded up with all kinds of police stuff and is carrying a big box that looks like a crime scene investigation box.  Mom casually asks her if she is investigating something and the police woman answers casually back that she is with the gang surveillance unit because the NBA Allstar game is in town.  Great!  On our very own floor, we have a gang problem!
So, off we go to the mall.  My big surprise is getting to make my very own teddy bear!  I got to pick him out, stuff him, give him a bath, dress him and name him.  I named my bear "Green".  He is soooo cute and I love him sooo much.  He and Animal are best friends!
We got to bed nice and late Friday night and spent much of the night listening to possible gangs on our floor run in and out of each others rooms all night.  We got them back though when we were up at 4:30 so dad could get to his next race.  I had a nice little tantrum for everyone.
When dad got back from his race, we headed out to the Enchanted Island amusement park.  We got off to a rough start with me having an actual public melt down that led to me being carried out of the park until I could calm down.  Dad pointed out that not a single other parent even batted an eye.  This is a great club to belong to!  Once I had my wits about me, I had a really great time and rode on all kinds of rides all by myself.  Don't think that mom wasn't trying to hover or telling people how to do their jobs.  It was awesome!
After we got home, mom headed out to find us some pizza for dinner.  As she was leaving our very nice hotel, she noticed a big, black Cadillac Escalade pulled over by the Scottsdale Police, all 4 doors open and the occupants reaching to the floor for something.  When she came back an hour later, there were now 3 police cars and 2 of the people from the Cadillac were being handcuffed- all right in front of our hotel!  Just a wee bit scary!
We got to bed by 8 Saturday night, which was a good thing because we spent from midnight until 2 listening to the possible gang again run from room to room.  When we got up Sunday morning, mom sent out into the hallway for a little running and screaming.  Gangs or no gangs, you don't mess with our sleep!
We got home Sunday and just kind of rested up for the long week ahead.  Mom and dad are so happy to be back in our nice, quiet beds!
The other great, big, important news is that our friends Brian and Christina had their baby on Friday the 13th.  The had a little baby girl, named Camryn May.  We are so excited for them.  Brian just turned 40 so mom and dad are happy it isn't them starting down this road.  I guess we little ones are exhausting!
