Very Productive

This is me staying nice and clean while playing in the river

Gotta love cookies and cream milkshakes!

We had a quiet but very productive weekend.
On Thursday, we went to visit our friends Brian and Christina and their brand, new 6 day old baby girl.  She was sooo tiny!  Mom went to pick her up and felt like she was holding nothing.  Brian and Christina looked a little haggard- baby Camryn wasn't sleeping to well I guess.
I was so good with her.  I covered her up with a blanket and patted her nice and gentle like and told her to close her eyes and go to sleep.  And guess what?!  She did!  If Christina and Brian didn't look so worn out, mom might have been convinced to have another one!
On Friday, everyone was tired so we just rented a movie (dad and my new favorite- Madagascar 2) and hung out on the couch.
We slept in on Saturday and finally managed to drag ourselves out of the house to go to Costco and spend some tax refund money.  Mom and dad bought a flat screen TV for the bedroom.  Mom has come so far from the days of absolutely refusing to have a TV in the bedroom to now having a 32" flat screen hanging on the wall.  Dad is a happy camper!
After our trip to Costco, mom treated us to dinner at Zinburger.  It used to be her favorite little bistro called Bistro Zin and then it was turned into an "upscale" burger joint.  The food was pretty good but I wouldn't know since I spent the whole time climbing in and out of my chair, banging my cars on the table and just generally making a rucus- that is until desert arrived.  Then I sat right up and ate my whole glass of milk shake- so good!  I almost didn't get any because mom and dad said unless I ate my burger, no dessert.  Good thing for me, they both REALLY wanted dessert so it didn't really matter if I ate my dinner or not.
On Sunday, mom and I headed down to the river to get nice and dirty.  It was a little warm for February ( "darn tootin' warm" according to mom.  What a geek!) but we're not complaining.
The river really is an interesting place to see all kinds of things.  We saw dogs and horses, something that looked like a car engine and a couple of old blankets.  Always an adventure.
We spent the afternoon hanging stuff in mom and dad's room- the TV and 2 mirrors.  It is almost looking like a real room again!
Dad is off to Washington D.C. for work until Wednesday so mom and I are going it alone.  Wish us luck!
