Dad survived

Here it is- Wednesday already.  This has been a fast week!
Dad had his wrist surgery on Monday and everything went great.  It was definitely more involved than surgeon made it sound initially, but surgeons always do that.
First, dad got a nice dose of Versed to make him feel oh-so relaxed.  Then the anesthesiologist came in and did a nerve block.  Mom was very excited because they let her stay in and watch.  The doctor used real time ultrasound to locate the nerve bundle and he pointed everything out to mom on the screen.  Very cool- at least mom thought so.  The anesthesiologist was very chatty and he and mom had a great ol' time talking.  Even though dad was loopy on Versed, I think he was getting a little annoyed ;)!  In the end, dad's arm went completely numb along with his face and some of his opposite arm.  The doc assured us it was all normal.  Dad was wheeled off to surgery and mom came to pick me up.
We headed back up to get dad and then home where dad got to rest his poor queasy yet hungry tummy.  He slept good- the nerve block wore off about 11 and he never had much pain.
The bad news is the surgeon said no rode biking for at least 2 more weeks.  Deep sigh.

Now onto me.  I continue to be in a very good mood and chatting up a storm to whoever will listen to me- but especially mom and dad.
We had a good day with the potty training today.  Mom put the big girl panties on again this afternoon and I had 4 hits and 2 misses.  Not bad I say.  I'm still kind of digging the Potty Party Bag and am constantly negotiating and cheating to get a prize.  Mom and dad are pretty smart though and don't let me get away with much.  I know mom is determined to have me out of diaper by May 25.  Let the games....continue!
