A Girly Weekend

Here is another of my photographs.  I'm getting pretty good but it helps to have a good subject!

The genius at work.(BTW, I'm the genius in this picture)

Does anyone know how to get nail polish off of wood furniture?  More on that later!
Dad left Friday morning for a bike race in Las Vegas so mom and I had a fun girls weekend.  She picked me up from school and we rented some movies and got some dinner.  It wasn't Subway this time- she splurged and got a rotisserie chicken.  I preferred Subway.  Anyway, after dinner, we  painted each other's nails and we look quite glamorous.
We slept in until 7 on Saturday which was quite wonderful and went for a run.  Then we went to the park for awhile.  Mom had a better time because I wanted to do something besides swing and I actually played a little with some other kids.
We came home, ate some lunch and then wonder of wonders, I actually took a nap!  Mom had the  best 2 hours she's had in a month!  Then, she came in to get me up.  She opened the door to find me with an open bottle of nail polish in one hand, the brush in the other.  I had polish on my face, my arms, my toy box, my dresser and a couple of my toys.  I gave her my biggest, brightest smile when she walked in- all she could do was laugh at that point.  I mean really, who leaves a bottle of polish unattended with a 3 year old?!
Saturday evening, some of mom's friends came over for dinner.  Everyone was so impressed by how good I was and mom had to admit that I am a very good little girl.
Dad got home about midnight Saturday night.  It was a very short night for both of them since I was up at 6.  Dad came in to get me and I was SOOO excited to see him.  In fact, I was so excited to see him that when mom finally rolled out of bed and came wandering in, I screamed "NOOOOOO!  I WANT DADDY!" and proceeded to have a meltdown until Dad rescued me from that awful woman!
The day did get better and we all went to the bookstore and out to lunch.  We spent the afternoon outside enjoying our fabulous 84 degree weather.
All in all, a very good weekend.

I think when you are playing single Mom, it's very easy to leave the bottle of nail polish behind. Ugh...what a pain!!! However, I'm sure you two look gorgeous!
