Mom overheard the following conversation at my party last Saturday between myself and my friend Caroline (also 3)
Caroline: (with prompting from her mom) " Thank you Jordan! I had fun today!"
Me: " I went poop in the potty."
Caroline: "Oh. Bye Jordan!"
Mom is still giggling about that one.
Sometime last year, mom signed me up to participate in a child developement and education study that is being conducted through my school. It involves filling out some questionnaires and then a researcher meets with me and plays with me, records those finding and does..... something scientific. Anyway, I had my first meeting with the researcher today and we looked at all kinds of things but it turns out my language skills tested out at 4 1/2 years old. Mom was pretty impressed and proud of me until she remembered the above conversation. Sometimes, I just gotta reign her in and put her ego in check!
