So, we are over our whiney stage- still tired but not whiney. Thank goodness, huh?
We had a fun weekend with lots of friends and family.
Mom had to work late on Friday so dad picked me up- yipee! I always like that. We came home and immediately jumped in the pool. Our neighbors and their nephews came over and joined us so we had a good long swim. The pool water was only 95 degrees so we weren't sure which was worse- being out of the water or being in!
Saturday was a nice relaxing stay home day. I was up at 3 AM and ready to start my day. Lord only knows where that came from but mom and dad managed to corral me in my room until 5:30. I did take a nice long nap finally in the afternoon. Grandma Sue came over that night to babysit so mom and dad could go to a grown up birthday party.
I stayed up until 9 and then was up coughing a lot and finally got a good sleep going about 3:30 only to be rudely awoken at 5:30. Dad was heading out to Boston for a business trip and we took him to the airport. It was a little rough for me to watch him go. I got teary eyed and quivery lipped and mom felt really, really bad. She made up for it by giving me an orange juice, blueberry popsicle for breakfast. That was gooood!
Mom and I went to church after we got home and that went well because mom discovered the child care at the 8:30 mass. It was great- so many new things for me to play with and mom got some peace and quiet. It was a win- win!
After that, we headed up to the fancy mall for a play date with my friend Caroline and her mom. We got to watch a play about a princess and a dragon, make a crown and enter a costume contest. That was rigged though because neither Caroline or I had a costume and EVERYONE got a prize. Still pretty cool though. After that, we all went for gelato and then out for lunch.
I am so exhausted today that I was in bed, knocked out asleep at 6 PM. Gotta get my beauty rest for school tomorrow!
