Finally!

This was a "finally" kind of weekend for us around here

First, Friday finally came- mom and dad thought this was the longest week in the history of the universe. You know it's bad when you come home Monday night thinking it is Thursday. Ugh!

So when Friday finally decided to make its appearance, we headed up to the Disney store to look for Lizzie from the Cars movie. She is the only one I don't have and I keep bugging dad to find it for me. No luck this time, but I did end up with two more regular cars.

Friday night, we finally got our first real, true, big monsoon rain storm. It poured for a few hours it seemed like. We woke up to find our fire pit full of water, so it was a good storm. The Rillito River which is normally dry was actually running bank to bank on Saturday morning. It was a beautiful sight.

On Saturday morning, the floor guys came to finally repair the concrete floor in our kitchen. We had a couple of big holes where we pulled the old island out when the kitchen was remodeled. Dad has been embarrassed and complaining about those hole for 4 and half years. Then a few months ago, mom decided to clean the concrete in the kitchen with vinegar and a steam mop. Not the most brilliant of choices as it bleached out sections of the floor. So the nice flooring guys came out and fixed the kitchen and then cleaned and sealed the rest of the concrete in the house. It looks really nice and shiny now.

While all that was going on, dad took me to get signed up for soccer! I start practice in the fall sometime and I'm not really sure what this whole soccer thing is about but mom thinks it will be good for me. The soccer sign up was at Peter Piper Pizza so while we were there, dad let me play a few video games. I found the absolute perfect game for me- It was a driving game with a yellow jeep (which is my current dream car) AND dinosaurs all combined into one! My life is sooo good sometimes!

After that, mom and I headed out for a double birthday party. My friends Leilani and Cade were having their birthday parties at the same place AND same time. The moms got smart and combined the parties which meant twice as many games, twice as many goodie bags and most importantly for me, twice as much cake! I got two pieces!!

When we got home, I had a huge surprise waiting for me. My new bed finally got here! Dad had it all ready for me to climb right into!

(Mom couldn't decide which picture to post, so she did both) Anyway, it is a big ol' trundle bed and I have a really hard time getting into it, but oh man, is it comfy. I slept so good on Saturday night- I actually made it until 6 AM! Mom was ecstatic.

Once I finally woke up, mom and I had a leisurely morning and headed out to church. We came home and hit the pool and spent the rest of the day relaxing.

We had a very productive weekend- here's hoping the week goes as well!
