Fun with Dad

Whew- I have a lot to report this week. We didn't blog earlier this week because dad had to go out of town on business. I guess Mom didn't really want any more on her plate right now. So here we go- Dad left town on Tuesday but being the awesome dad that he his, he left work early and we all went to the zoo before his plane left. It was so much fun this time. I was talking to all the animals and this time, my favorite where the monkeys and the sea otters. I really just wanted to go swimming with them but I guess that isn't such a great idea. The rest of the week was pretty uneventful until Thursday when I decided to really start with the standing thing. I tried it once a few weeks ago and it was OK but now, I REALLY like it. I stand every chance I can and even took 2 steps this morning. I'm sure walking will come in handy someday but crawling is still pretty effecient.
On Friday, mom and dad went to see "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" (The broadway show) and Jesse came over to babysit. She told mom I was very good and easy. Thanks for the kind words!
On Saturday, dad went up to Phoenix to ride in his first ever criterion race. Basically, they just ride around in circles for 40 miles. Dad was in the lead until the last 2 laps and then his oatmeal wore off and he was overtaken by the pack. He did finish 10th though which isn't to bad. Yeah dad! While he was up there, mom and I went to our friend Maddies house. She was there with her mom and dad and FIVE other babies and there parents. SO FUN and so many new toys to play with. We babies just kind of kept an eye on each other and stole toys from each other. I would have been the big brute except there was an older baby there who could walk. I held my own though. That night, dad and I got to hang out together while mom went to a bachelorette party. They rode there bikes to a bunch of different bars. I think it sounds a little wierd but mom said it was very fun and no one got a "riding while intoxicated" ticket either. You can really get one of those- so be careful!
On Sunday, mom went over to the bride to be's house and helped with wedding stuff. Dad and I did something much more fun- we went to the county fair! Yee- haw- was that a good time. We saw pigs and chickens and cows and a fishing demo and dad won me a prize on the midway. Probably the best part was that dad took me to see the tractor pull. My great- grandpa Walker used to judge tractor pulls and was known as the best, most fair judge in all of Lorraine County Ohio. My great Uncle Dorrell still judges them. It was way cool to get back to my farming roots. Well that is all for now. Dad is out of town again this week, so the midweek blog may go untyped- we'll see. Hope everyone is finally enjoying spring!
