Working on a Title

I can't quite come up with a title for this blog. Here are some ideas: "How to get by on 15 minutes of napping a day", "How to make your parents crazy by only napping for 15 minutes a day", "Why CAN'T a girl live on mexican food and goldfish crackers?", "Raucous times with Papa Vern", "Rocks, rocks and more awesome rocks", "Fun times in Show Low with Papa Vern".
As you can maybe see, I had a good time in the mountains. We got up to Papa Vern's place Thursday early afternoon and Papa had a yummy lunch waiting for us. We met a lot of Papa's friends. He has a lot of kids his age to play with- just like me! We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and I got to play with so many rocks, I couldn't believe it. We went for a walk that night and Papa showed us Show Low and the Dairy Queen. Ice cream sure is tasty!
On Saturday morning, Dad went for bike ride and mom and I, Papa and Papa's neighbor Howard went for another nice walk up to the K-Mart because mom forgot her toothbrush. In the afternoon, we went for a drive and found a really pretty lake pretty close to Papa's place and we played there for a little while. We got home just in time to beat out the big thunderstorm. Those sure are loud way up in the mountains. That night, we out for the best mexican food. Mom and dad each had a huge margarita- I think this is when my lack of nappage really kicked in. After dinner, we went back to DQ. There was another little girl, my exact age and she was sitting so quietly and politely. I spent dinner running around like a mad woman (unless I was shoving beans and tortillas in my face) and then running some more at DQ. Mom was very impressed with the other little girl- she isn't quite sure how you get an 15 month old to sit still.
We left Papa's Saturday morning and had an easy drive home. I took a really long nap to make up for lack of napping in Show Low. I had such a great time- Papa and I had a FUN, FUN time roughhousing- I think he needed a nap too when we left.
Since mom's birthday was Sunday, dad let her open her present a day early. It was another case of dejevu. He got her the Nintendo Wii (pronounced we) and they had a great time playing each other and periodically checking to make sure I wasn't setting the house on fire. They made a rule that they could only play when I'm asleep. Good rule, although I did get to play bowling with mom and I liked that.
Sunday was mom's birthday, so dad made us a yummy breakfast of chocolate and berry crepes. Mom got to spend the day shopping all by herself and dad and I did our own shopping. It was a very restful day for mom, not so much for dad, and I had a great day either way.
So, in summary, I can't wait to get back to Show Low, I don't really need naps, I love Mexican food, Papa sure is fun.
