Zoo fun

We had an OK weekend. The days were pretty quiet but the nights were fun. On Saturday, dad was up early to go to a bike race (His team finished 3rd), mom and I went to the gym and then the nursery to buy some plants. Mom is kind of hoping that the 3 plants we bought will hide the acres of weeds we have in our backyard. Probably not, but it is a valiant effort. We all went for a little swim but the water is getting chilly- all the way down to 86 degrees- brrr! Saturday night, our friend Joe and Amy had a chile relleno party to get rid of the 50 pound bag of green chile they got. Believe it or not, I didn't want any of the apparently delicious Mexican food they had going on. I was having way to much fun watching the other Jordan (who happens to be a boy) run around like a crazy man. He is almost 5, so it was a little hard to keep up with him, but I sure tried.
Sunday was another lazy day for me and mom. Dad was out the door at 5 AM for another bike race and despite going to bed 2 hours later the night before, was up at 6 AM. Mom loves waking to the sounds of my crying. We planted our stuff from Saturday and sadly, you can still see every single one of our weeds. Boo hoo. Sunday night, our zoo had an ice cream night for all zoo members. We packed up a picnic and headed to the park for dinner, then walked over to the zoo for yummy, melty ice cream. We walked around and looked at some animals but mom was pretty tired from chasing me around all day- literally- so we came home and off to bed I went. Have a good week!
