Crazy Coincedence!

Guess what I learned to this weekend?! I learned how to turn my doorknob and open my own door! Waahoo! I could taste the freedom! I really didn't want to go to bed Thursday and raised a huge fuss. Mom usually just lets me work it out on my own and she left to get ready for bed herself. She got her teeth all brushed and turned around and there I was! I scared the jeepers out of her but I think even she was impressed. Dad tried to get me down for round two but I came out of my room lickety split. I had this figured out! Sadly for me, dad is very handy and had my doorknob turned around lickety split and next thing I know, the door is locked and I CAN'T GET OUT ANYMORE! Oh! The torture! Just to make them feel even more guilty for locking their only, precious daughter in her room, I fell asleep in front of the door. Hmmppff- that will show them.
On Friday night, Jesse came over to babysit so mom and dad could have a date night. Jesse said I was good but I sure had a LOT of energy. That was putting it kindly- Thanks Jesse! I had so much fun I went looking for "my Jesse" when I woke up the next day.
Saturday was quiet and boring.
Sunday, mom and I went for a hike at Sabino Canyon. I kind of didn't get the point initially because I wanted mom to carry me but eventually I was ready to roll. While we were walking along, mom heard someone call her name. We turned around to see the parents of moms good friend Heidi. She hasn't seen them since college and what a random place to see them! Apparently although they were thoroughly enjoying the 5 degree weather in Indiana, they couldn't pass up the amazingly cheap plane fare to Tucson. It was 81 degrees today so I say they made a good decision! Hopefully, next time we can spend more time catching up. After our hike, I ate a quick lunch and then dad took me to the horse races. I love horses and loved watching them running but I didn't love the wait between the races. I thought the bleaches were a lot more interesting and besides, I wasn't winning anything. I really didn't give dad much time to even think about which horse to bet on so we just watched. It was a beautiful weekend and I enjoyed every minute of it! Have a great week!
