Here's the re-cap: Friday night we met our friends Brian and Christina for dinner. I got grilled cheese and this time, I didn't just lick the cheese off the bread- I ate the whole thing. It was made even more tasty when I discovered the cheese dip. You gotta love processed dairy products! YUMMY! Afterwards, we went to Frost for some Blueberry sorbet. I was so good all night and I just couldn't keep it in anymore. I ate most of my sorbet and then made mom chase me all over the store. I crawled behind tables and chairs and ran down the hall. Mom and dad noticed the well behaved 2 year-old next to us and wondered what they were doing wrong.
We slept in Saturday which was good because we all needed it. We had a nice relaxing morning and then mom got to work painting our new walls and benches in the firepit. Mom got to do it both Saturday and Sunday and it was a real exercise in patience for her. She is a "big picture" person and doesn't like to get bogged down in the details so when you come over, please try not notice all the mistakes and paint blotches on the bricks. While mom was busy making a mess, dad and I went to watch Papa Vern bowl. He had a great game and I cheered him on, yelling for him to make a strike- which he did! I had all kinds of fun running around, crawling on all the chairs and getting in the way of some pretty serious bowlers.
Sunday, we all went to home depot for more paint stuff. Because it isn't a project until you've been to the 'Po at least twice for it. Mom finished up the painting and dad tried to keep me out of the paint pan. Deep Aubergine shows up really well on clothes. Grandma Sue stopped by in the afternoon and I wore her out RUNNING, RUNNING all over the backyard. I sure love that game.
It was a beeeeeautiful weekend here with temps near 80, so yardwork wasn't such a chore. We'll post some pictures soon. Have a good week!
