Another weekend flying by. Dad and I had a nice long 3 day weekend and mom got to slog it out with the usual 2 days off. Dad and I got to spend all day Friday together, so I started by sleeping in-so awesome! Dad and I had a leisurely breakfast and then headed to the zoo. It was such a beautiful day and all the animals were out. We also saw our friends Paige and her mom Jen. ( They weren't in the cages or anything- they were walking around like me and dad.) After that, we came home and dad tried to get me to take a nap but, NO DEAL DUDE! I was bouncing off the walls until it was time for bed. Poor dad.
On Saturday, we just laid low. Mom and dad had to save their energy because they were actually planning on leaving the house that night for a friend's birthday. Grandma Sue came over and played with me while the parental units tore up the town....until 9 o'clock. They kept blaming poor Grandma, saying she was the old one and needed to go to home, but we all know the truth, don't we?!
On Sunday, we headed up to the fancy mall. We found the new toy store (thanks for the heads-up, A-Team!) What a fun store- there was so much for me to play with! I definately liked it better than the dog store which was my favorite. Dad even bought me a cool new art easle (probably hoping I would stop coloring on the furniture), crayons, paint and brushes. This only child thing rocks! I'm going to ask for a pony for my birthday!
