MEEEE!

Me, me, me- what a great weekend! On Saturday, we went to the Shamrock Farms Dairy Farm. That is an Arizona dairy that makes milk, ice cream and all sorts of good cow stuff (but oddly enough, no cheese!?) We had lots of fun, saw tons of cows, watched cows getting milked, fed baby cows, played on the playground with the cottage cheese slide. I really felt like I was getting back to my roots. At the end of the tour, we got free milk- I got strawberry, mom got caramel and dad got cafe mocha. So very yummy. I loved the cows.
On Sunday, I had a playdate with my friend Chris from daycare. We met at the park and did the slide, snack, swing, snack, run, snack thing all morning. We wore ourselves out so much that Chris was falling asleep in the swing toward the end. The moms thought that was kind of cute. I came home from that and crashed for a 2 1/2 hour nap. When I woke up, we got our first pool time of the year! Yee-haw! I helped dad clean the pool and dad helped me remember how to blow bubbles and kick. I was a teeth- chattering, blue lipped little girl who refused to get out of the pool. I had to be dragged out- could be a long summer for mom and dad. After the "getting dressed" battle, we met Grandma Sue and Papa Vern for Grandma's birthday dinner. The restaurant had a jumping castle and I made a bee-line for that and pushed all the big boys out of the way. Unfortunately, mom felt the need to be in there with me, so it wasn't as much fun as it could have been. At least she got along well with the other kids. Every weekend should be this dedicated to me!
As a side note, I finally have enough hair that mom had to break out the comb for it. Today, she let me do her hair. I brushed it a little this way and that, stepped back and said "Oh, coot (cute)!"
Dad is out of town on business this week, so send thoughts to mom and be patient if the Wednesday blog isn't up!
