The last time mom left dad unattended for a weekend was before I was born and he bought a truck. Mom and I left him unattended again this weekend and he bought a new Jeep. It gets very expensive to leave dad alone sometimes! But- we LOVE the new Jeep. Dad picked us up from the airport and we got to ride home sans roof and it was awesome! I look so good in my pink car seat, wind blowing through my hair, sun shining on my face. Pretty cool stuff! Even cooler for mom, dad traded in her Honda (with her permission) and she gets his "old" X-terra. She misses her trusty old Honda but is rapidly getting used to the SUV life. Sorry environment!
So onto our Albuquerque trip. We got in on Thursday night, had a quick dinner and went to bed. We woke up Friday morning to 2 inches of snow. We all know how much mom loves the cold too!

Here I am with my first look at the snow and the snow ball Nana and I made. I got to put it in the freezer and look at it whenever I wanted. Needless to say, Friday morning was spent inside but we did venture out in the afternoon to get my picture taken. That was an adventure in itself as I wasn't so into the whole posing thing. Our photographer worked hard and we managed to get 2 good pictures out of about 9 million.
On Friday night, mom got a free night and went out to dinner with Adam and his girlfriend, Erin. Nana and Mr. Walker loved having me all to themselves and mom loved having an adult evening even if she had nothing to talk about except me. Sorry Erin!
On Saturday, we had a great day weather wise and took full advantage by going to the zoo. Albuquerque has a great zoo. We only got to about half of it but it was so fun. We had a picnic there and saw polar bears, seals, lions, birds, frogs, fishes..... It is a huge zoo! The best part for mom was that I used the potty 2 times while I was there. She didn't even have to ask me, I told her! Yeah me!
Saturday night, Adam and Erin came up for dinner. Erin just can't get enough of the Walkers, so after getting up at 4:30 AM to run her yard sale, she managed to stay awake and carry on a conversation with the exciting Walker clan!
On Sunday, mom isn't really sure what I did because she was gone all day shopping. She thinks I went to the park with Nana and Mr. Walker and she thinks I had a good time. All she really knows is that she has some great new shoes and fun clothes.
Monday was cold and windy (28 degrees and 30 mph winds- fun!) so it was another inside day but we made the most of it playing games that Nana pulled from the closet. These were games mom played when she was little so you know they were good! We left Monday night even though Mr. Walker asked me several times if I wanted to stay. I think he was kidding, right?
Thanks for a fabulous weekend Nana, Mr. WAlker and Uncle Adam! See you soon!
