Another Sunday night, another bloggity blog. Mom and dad sure have been grumpy this weekend but I think I know why.
I had my follow up testing for a study I was enrolled in through my preschool. The first test session was just before I turned 3 and then this was the last session- I guess to see how much I've learned. I guess I did pretty good but then the nice tester lady didn't see my genius use of my dollhouse: A parking garage! Maybe I am a creative genius.

The rest of the weekend was pretty much downhill from there. Mom was sick AGAIN and it was enough to keep her home from work on Friday. You'd think that it would be a good thing except dad had the day off too and had big plans to put in our new flooring.

I helped out a little with pulling out the old carpet but then I had to leave for school. Dad spent the rest of the day hammering and sawing. Mom was extremely happy to have the nasty carpet out but finally had to kick dad out for his bike ride so she could get some sleep.

In the end, it looks really nice and dad did a great job. I love my new floor- it is very slippery, which is great fun!

On Saturday, dad took a break from hard, manual labor. In the morning, mom and I made a long overdue first trip to the library. I went crazy and checked out all kinds of books and kind of can't wait to go back. In the afternoon, we all headed out the University of Arizona bike criterion. Dad wasn't riding but we went to cheer his team on. They did really well and got a shout-out from the podium for their awesome looking team tent. It was a fun afternoon and I got to scream my heart out cheering people on.

On Sunday, dad was back at the flooring- this time the guest room and I spent the morning in time out. I was not having a wonderful morning. Mom finally talked me into going grocery shopping with her and I had a great time and was truly a big help. After that, we went to the park and spent a looong time there burning off my energy. That was a good thing and I was pretty OK the rest of the day. I had a spectacular end to the day because I got to make rice crispy treats for dessert. I've never had a rice crispy treat before and can't believe mom has held out on me for so long! These are sooo good.
We are all hoping for a calm, non-grump, limited time out kind of week.
