It was a good weekend in the Goedel house. Dad has all kinds of energy to burn since he isn't riding a bazillion miles on his bike at O'dark thirty in the AM. He managed to get his stand for his bike set up so he can ride in the house. He rode for an hour yesterday and again today. That perked him up a bit. Mom got domestic and a baked and pureed a pumpkin to make a pie or soup. It wasn't hard but the canned stuff is definately a time saver!
Saturday night we all went to Tucson Meet Yourself with Brian and Christina. It is a food festival here in Tucson where all the different ethnicities in Tucson cook their typical cuisine and you just eat and eat. We got food from Thailand, Greece, India and fry bread to finish it off. Whew- I slept through most of it but when I woke up it was pretty cool with all the different people and the lights and smells.
On Sunday, mom got to go for a walk in Sabino Canyon all by herself while I took a nap at home. While I was sleeping, dad re-arranged the furniture in the guest room not once, not twice but three times! All the more impressive because he did it with one hand. Told you he had a lot of extra energy.
In the afternoon mom and I went bridesmaid dress shopping with Edy and Nancy for Edy's upcoming April wedding. I pretty much yammered the entire time, came home slept for two hours, woke up and then kept yammering non- stop until mom put me to bed. I sure have a lot to say. Mom is a little worried that I will be one of those kids that never stops talking and makes everyone a little looney. How much fun would that be?
