Happy belated anniversary to Uncle Tim and Aunt Dana. Their special day was October 13- friday even! Spooky. Today is Mr. Walker and Nana D's 37th anniversary. Mom called to find out how they were celebrating and Mr. Walker said he was eating dinner all by his lonely self (mom's words, not Mr. Walker's) because Nana D had a softball game. Apparently, 37 years is nothing special anymore. Mom thinks it's impressive and sends her love!
Today at mom's work we had the annual "Paws and Babes" halloween parade. All the rehab staff kids come over from daycare and all the dogs from our pet therapy program come and everyone is in costume and we all parade around the hospital, cheering up patients and staff. We even got on the news and in the newspaper. I was supposed to be an elephant but I didn't love my costume and let everyone within yelling distance know about it. Well, if you were tired, hungry and had huge, pink ears sticking out from YOUR head, would you love it? I did look awfully cute though. The parade was pretty much controlled chaos. If you can imagine a bunch of babies, toddlers and dogs all milling around and then the hospital decides to conduct a fire drill. Crazy loud. Mom had to remove me from it all but once I ate, I was back to my usual, charming self. It was very fun seeing all of mom's friends and their kids. There were ducks and bears and bugs and princesses and Indians and Chiefs. To top it all off, I got a gift bag of fun baby halloween stuff. Has mom mentioned how much she likes her job?
