TGIF

Wow, this has been a hard week for mom and dad. Dad's elbow still hurts quite a bit and it is so swollen when he comes from work that mom banishes him to the couch to elevate it until bedtime. She doesn't even want him up to eat dinner but he gets a little perturbed at that. Mom feels like she hasn't sat down all week- she isn't sure how single parents do it all and she isn't even a single parent. She gave up last night, put me to bed early and had 2 glasses of wine. Of course I was up at 5:15 this morning. Every other morning, she has to wake me from a dead sleep but not today. I just wanted to get my morning started. Today, mom felt like doing something that didn't involve Target or the grocery store ( we are getting far to familiar with that) so we went up to the swanky shopping center. She wanted to check out the brand new Tiffany store but I had a meltdown and we had to leave. She did manage to get a little shopping in and found some ganga deals at other stores.
Dad got his brace for his arm on Monday. It lets him bend it and straighten it some, so he is happy about that. He still thinks he'll be ready to ride in the Tour de Tucson. Crazy
We are still working on eating cereal. I'm still not sure about the taste and spit most of it back out. I really prefer to feed myself and then not let go of the spoon. Mom usually has 2 or 3 spoons involved in my feeding. Maybe is just needs some chocolate!
